IN SITU is the European platform dedicated to artistic creation in public space, led by Lieux publics—a national artistic centre based in Marseille, France.
It brings together a wide network of cultural programmers, artists, researchers, and partners across more than 20 countries. IN SITU supports artistic practices that engage directly with public space, emphasizing site-specificity, experimentation, and social relevance.
Starting in 2025, the IN SITU network launched PLATFORM, a four-year program identifying and supporting 200 emerging artists. The program provides a platform to develop artistic creations in public spaces and non-conventional venues at the European level.
In addition to the educational component of the program, PLATFORM includes participation in an funde offsite immersive lab during an event or festival organized by one of IN SITU’s partners. These labs bring together approximately thirteen artists at a time.
