Installations in Michurin square in Samara
2018
A project of installation created within the framework of the program for the development of a comfortable urban environment.
Work group: Dmitrii Novikov, Dmitrii Hramov and Daria Goncharova.

Our group created an installation in the form of a lighted entrance for a public garden. It tells the history of the “Samara Tram” and involves citizens in spatial interaction with the environment. Previously, this environment was perceived as marginal in the city. The Tram and Trolleybus Management Museum (TTU) is located on the other side of the square.
The initial layout consists of a light installation, the prototype of which is a model of the Czech tram T-3. To achieve an airy effect, its elements were made of transparent materials with built-in nighttime illumination. A construction imitating a rail serves as the counterweight and sets the direction of movement of people inside the square. The heart of the composition is a metal cube through which a three-dimensional mesh imitating electrical currents passes.
