Fragments of Navigation
2023-2025
Installations, graphics, series of sculptures, assemblage sculptures, textile.

What does the end consumer consume, if not images, signs that replace real things. By focusing on supposedly personal needs and problems, we sometimes fail to recognise problems rooted in wider systemic problems, and direct our discontent at more accessible targets.
The current project is based on a reflection on the notion of escapism, the substitution of imaginary worlds for real relationships. A persistent longing for an illusory reality is constantly projected onto reality, reproduced again and again, but leading nowhere.
Working with the poetic image of failure, the disruption of the logical chain, I used the concept of disrupted navigation, revealing it as a symptom of the permanent longing for transcendence and the futile but no less desirable attempts to escape reality.
The deconstruction of a series of navigational signs serves here as a metaphorical reflection of the fragile and unstable world of rules. It exposes the fragmentary nature of the narratives and routes we create, a kind of shell of alternative realities that appear as a means of possible escape.

“Constructor” series, 2023-2025
This series is
composed of two parts: physical objects and their graphic accompaniments,
referred to as “Exercises.”
The
objects reference the forms of childhood games, where the ability to transition
rapidly between fictional worlds often defined success. As this context shifts
with age, the playful illusions are often replaced by more rigid
constructs—illusions shaped by societal, political, and personal expectations. Attempts
to retreat into fabricated states of detachment do not provide resolution or
freedom, but can instead result in stasis.
The
graphic part accompanying the objects is something like exercises that are
aimed at constructing such states. The
form of regulatory texts supplemented by diagrams is an ironic form of manuals
in which the language of the system can still be recognized.
“Data” series, 2025
This work addresses the manipulation and erasure of information in modern political and media systems. The installation consists of fabric labels, each containing fragmented excerpts of news stories from different countries and different years. These excerpts deliberately omit critical details such as names, places and specific events, leaving behind only a skeleton of the original narrative.
The gaps in the text reproduce the experience of encountering censored or heavily redacted documents. And the concealment of trigger words only emphasises the disturbing nature of their content.
“Fastening Elements” series, 2024
In these series I work with the concept of a useless instruction—a form of navigation that serves
only one purpose: to point.
Using
the idea of assemblage, I created objects that are at the intersection of two
different forms, but do not fulfil either of their intended functions. A gap is
created between the signs and their original content.
